Happy Mother’s Day Kit Brennan

Posted on 07. May, 2010 by kathleen in Diet, Weight Loss/Reduction

Thanks mother for being an excellent role model, you did the heavy lifting in order for both of us to be thinner as we moved into our 60’s. You broke the family pattern of becoming heavier with aging as your mom chose to do and became slimmer instead. Your choices make it so much easier for me to become and remain thin now and for the remainder of my life.

I remember when you had your first heart attack and how scary it was. You followed your doctor’s orders, met with the nutritionist and did an outstanding job of slimming down to a healthy weight. Your friends used to comment to me how thin you were.

Thank you for taking those steps, for breaking the mold so I could skip the heart attack and just be skinny.

I went shopping yesterday because my clothes were literally falling off of me. I looked like an aging rapper grabbing my pants to keep them from falling down but without the crotch grabbing.  Now I know why. I’m down to a size 12. Woo who size 10 here I come.

Geraldine and I will be thinking about you on Sunday.  Although you are no longer here so that we can celebrate Mother’s Day together you are always in my heart that is even healthier because of the sacrifices you made for me. I thank you for this and so much more…
