About

002_2The purpose of this blog is to help you easily weigh what you want

My name is Kathleen Rodman.  I’m married, have two grown sons and two grandsons.  I live in Morrisville, NC.  I am a writer, a reader and a retired Operations Manager for a national disability case management company.  I like to cook healthy, walk, play Wii Fit and Wii Dance, Dance Party Revolution as well as Spore.

Your weight is in direct relationship to the choices made about what type and how much food is eaten as well as the amount of exercise you get each day. We really are what we repeadly do as Aristotle observed.  You can do it the easy way or the hard way.

I’ve weighed as much as 200 and as little as 89 pounds (the aftermath of severe grief following the death of my beloved son) during my adult life.  Fortunately I didn’t stay at either extreme for very long as neither is healthy.

  • Take a look at the logical levels information.  This is located at the left top of the blog page.

  • Intervention at the Spiritual or Identity Logical Level is easier and more powerful than at the Environmental, Behavioral and Capabilitity Logical Levels.

  • Ask yourself, what outcome do I want with my weight?

  •  Then if that is what you want to get, what do you need to do to get there?

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 35 years of experience  helping clients get what they want.  You must have nourishment several times each day.

Food is a necessity.  The benefit to this is it is not necessary to entirely give up eating, an activity we obviously enjoy.  The bad part of this is you have to limit the donuts.

I was an emaciated looking kid who loved veggies and fruit.  As a young adult I smoked so I just substituted smoking for eating and rocked on.  Smoking is unhealthy so in my mid 30’s I quit and that is when the fun began.  I had not had to pay attention to my weight at any time in my life.  I did not know what to do (Capability Logical Level) when I began ballooning upwards.  Who was that woman in the fat suit?   So what did I do?  Yep I went back to smoking after six months.

Fortunately, I realized that to be successful in reaching my smoking goal I would have to both quit smoking and maintain my weight at the same time.

  • Using meditation and several visualization techniques both outcomes were successfully accomplished at the same time by beginning to walk each day.
  • I did not have a conscious plan about how to accomplish my weight goal.
  • A date was established when smoking would stop and a desired weight identified.
  • I spontaneously began walking on the day smoking ceased thereby retaining my desired weight.  The power of your mind is truly awesome.

But that was then and this is now.  There have been several ups and downs weightwise and otherwise since then.

This blog has techniques for you to use for motivation  to be  your ideal weight easily.   Please contact me with questions and comments.

I wise you much success and happiness on your journey to your ideal weight.  Tke good care of yourself along the way and have fun doing it.  Even if you are not taking good care of yourself yet for goodness sakes have fun.
